1995 - graduated from Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv, Institute of International Relations, International Law Faculty.
1996 – obtained a LL.M. degree at Georgetown University, Washington, USA.

Work Experience and Political Life:
1995-1996 – co-founder and managing partner of the Bars and partners law firm.
1995-1996 – work in the Washington office of O’Melveny & Myers law company.
Since 1997 - Founder and Managing partner at the Magisters and partners law firm, chairing the Real Estate & Construction, and the International Trade & Customs Practices in Russia and Ukraine.
2004 – Counsel to the High Level Group for the formation of the Single Economic Space between Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The same time – member of the inter-Ministerial Committee on Ukraine's Accession to the WTO.
2006 – together with Garry N Horlick, lawyer from Washington, represented the interests of Ukrainian metallurgic companies and the Government of Ukraine at the US department of Commerce (Market economy status for Ukraine in antidumping cases in the US and EU).
According to his legal CV, the recent cases of Mr. Riabokon include the representation importers in safeguard investigations in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia.
He also serves as a counsel to UEFA with regard to the final round of European Football Championship to be held in Ukraine and Poland in 2012, and advises Microsoft on intellectual property in Russia.
In September 2009 Mr. Riabokon declared that he leaves the Magisters to dedicate himself to politics.
Political preferences and connections:
It is beyond debate that Oleh Riabokon is soi-disant “technical candidate”. According to the open information of Ukrainian media, Mr. Riabokon is sympathizing to Yulia Tymoshenko. The ex-Partner of his law company Magisters – Evgen Korniychuk, current Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, and a son-in-law of Vasyl Onopenko, Head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, – was elected as a member of Parliament thanks to the BYT list, and, by the way, was strongly associated with the activities of Privat business group. Another ex-Parnter of Magisters – Sergey Vlasenko – is currently an MP of Yulia Tymoshenko’s Block.
